Miracle of a Teddy Bear English Fan
Translation, Chapter 01: Coming from Altai
Once upon a time.
It was late on a weekday in front of a
house in a no-frills village where the temperature was 32 degrees Celsius and
the wind was not too strong, overpowering and the faint scent of tropical
flowers rose from the garden. A small house next to the ground floor and
nothing was more normal than this but this is where our miracle begins.
I guess this morning Nat must have gone
early because his wood-fibre bedroom door was not properly pushed shut. Around
ten o'clock the door slowly opened and once again, the intruder tried to
suppress his gasping breath but still someone caught up with him.
“Be careful! Keunchaai is here again.”
If there's anything Taohu hates and fears
more than the spinning machine is Prince Keunchaai. The first time Taohu saw
him was the night the sky was dark blue. His Phii Nat went back into the room
and grabbed Taohu's arm and pulled him onto the bed. Normally Phii Nat was
always gentle with him but that day the grip almost hurt him. He was pressed
back against the mattress and then hugged tightly with his face down on his
bare stomach.
Actually, in Phii Nat's embrace is where
Taohu likes the most even more than Phii Nat's bedside or even on the bed next
to him. But that night he was not at all happy. Normally, Phii Nat's breath is
turbulent and light at regular intervals but on that day his breath was like a
hot steam meaning that it is probably not good. Taohu was afraid that Phii Nat
would be sick and just as the door opened the Auntie stepped in.
There was a light scent which was not the
aunt's signature scent which is sweet but this time it's a soft and warm scent.
The aunt said, “I warmed the milk for you, drink it and go take a shower
first.” But all his Phii Nat could do was whine! Prince Keunchaai whipped his
face towards the bed and scrambled to the edge and the bed made a screeching
noise demanding attention until Phii Nat had to look up and that was the first
moment both him and the Keunchaai met.
Taohu had never seen anything so terrifying
and his eyes were bulging as if they were about to pop out. The dog was stout
and his face and ears looked black, his forehead was wrinkled and wavy. As he
opened his mouth, his long tongue rolled out with a gooey saliva.
As soon as it saw that Taohu was in Phii
Nat's embrace, his bulging eyes almost burst into flames with jealousy and
Prince Keunchaai barked madly until at last the Auntie had to carry it out and
shut the door of the room. Taohu heard the barking sound which disappeared
downstairs and he was trembling in shock. It’s a good thing that Phii Nat is
still holding him, Taohu knows he will always be safe with Phii Nat.
Probably, because of this, Prince Keunchaai
has been looking for a chance when Phii Nat is not around to secretly pass the
Aunt and run up to the room which it had entered once and during the time when
the inhabitants of the room were careful. Taohu himself didn't even notice and
at that time he was sitting at the foot of the bed he just saw Keunchaai
scrambling up and he buried his fangs on the tip of his feet. Taohu was so
shocked that he couldn't even cry out and was dragged out of the room and hit
the stairs as his legs were drenched in saliva. As soon as he reached the
ground floor Prince Keunchaai had torn his leg and the stuffing which was
stuffed inside was scattered. Everyone in the living room screamed at the
tragedy. Taohu heard a shout,
'Prince
Keunchaai has taken it again!'
'Who called
that auntie? I don't want to eat this teddy bear's gut!'
Prince Keunchaai probably heard that and
instead of tearing Taohu up he ran out of the house and left Taohu outside the
fence next to this big and smelly trash can. If not, Auntie saw him first and
Taohu would have been kissing the dirty asphalt floor there all day. When
auntie brought him to sew him. Miss-Sofa
also whispered to him that 'If you stay
there longer, I think you will be picked up by the trash collectors for sure.'
Taohu wasn't more afraid of trash than he was afraid that he would never hug
Phii Nat again and he remembered that scenario with horror.
After the sewing was done, the Auntie took
Taohu to a new bath in the spinning machine which he called the “Tunnel of Hell” because besides being
dark, the centrifugal force spinning inside was just horrifyingly dizzying.
Plus, when he was out in the sun, Phii Nat also complained to the Auntie that
his teddy wasn't like the old Taohu and the soapy scent made him not want to
hug him.
Prince Keunchaai still found a way to bite
him many times but lately he didn't succeed, because everyone in the bedroom
helped to be the ears and eyes for Taohu, like this time. Khun-Side Pillow next to the door was the one who cried and from
where Taohu sat hanging his legs on the chair beside his bed he quickly
retracted his legs and became agile.
However, it seems that Prince Keunchaai was
going to get more shocked because instead of trying to get his fangs into the
teddy bear like always. This time he turned the corner of the bed into the
front porch area and his stout figure suddenly stopped and then barked loudly
like scared to death.
“Awwu!” Taohu
cried out in shock as he stood on the chair and the moment he stood up. The
strange view caused him dizziness.
In
order for you readers to understand our bear's feelings, I would like to ask
you to try experiencing Taohu's point of view first. Originally Taohu was only
about a metre tall and Phii Nat never raised him to a height higher than the
head of the bed. This time, when he got up and his eyes were a bit higher from
the original spot and he was almost touching the ceiling. This was what shocked
him, the height was a little scary.
“The Bear? What are you doing!” Khun-Side Pillow exclaimed in shock,
although he was not normally shocked but the sound of Khun-Auntie Blanket and others followed in shock.
“OMG, what's his problem?!”
“Why did Taohu become like that?”
He couldn't give an answer to anyone, even
himself. Prince Keunchaai barked more and more frantically, barked ferociously
as if he was the local mobster and Taohu was the intruder.
Among the bewilderment, there was a brown Khun-Uncle Notebook lying on Phii Nat's
desk which shouted, “It's serious!”
Khun-Uncle's voice has
always been calm and collected but now he's agitated. “Through the balcony
door! Quickly get out!”
Taohu
didn't know why Prince Keunchaai suddenly became so fierce. Even though he
normally likes to hurt him, this time things probably looked more terrifying
than ever and because of this combined with his respect for Khun-Uncle Notebook’s wisdom since time
immemorial. Taohu nodded and then quickly reached to unlock the door and
balcony as he had seen Phii Nat doing, then slid it open.
Just
seeing him slide open Prince Keunchaai moved to attack but Taohu quickly jumped
out and shut the door. Just as the door closed in front of the reflection on
the clear glass there was an image that shocked him even more than anything
before. Someone was standing there staring at him whom Taohu didn't know and had
never even seen before! He was taken aback, moved back instinctively and at the
same moment that the person on the reflection withdrew for a moment. He
whispered to himself… Yes. That's me!
I can tell you that in his lifetime, Taohu
had never been so frightened. Everywhere he looked in the mirror, his familiar
reflection was a fat and big and fluffy figure like a white teddy bear. But
this time it wasn't, he became something else, like his Phii Nat!
Taohu bowed his head and raised his own
hand to look at. He looked wide eyed, shocked when he found that his hands had
actually changed, he had a vital flesh-coloured wrinkled skin and he had five
fingers on each side!
Before exploring anything further, a hoarse
voice rang out.
Because the balcony door cannot be locked
from outside. Prince Keunchaai, as if knowing this, after seeing Taohu just
sliding the door shut, he rushed to lift his front leg tried plied it open and
inserted his nose out of the doorway and opened his jaws and viscous saliva
flowed until Taohu had to jump away from him. Prince Keunchaai used that
moment, slammed his face, pushing the door wide open and bursting out his whole
body, “Shoot!”
Taohu had a shocked expression and raised
both hands as a deterrent.
“Keunchaai, it's me, please, Keunchaai.”
probably, because he saw a bad posture. Khun-Uncle
Notebook shouted, “Jump, Bear!”
He
looked up at Khun-Uncle Notebook but
even more striking was the clock face near the head of Phii Nat's bed that
glowed red indicating the time and date 23/3 10:12.
Taohu
retreated to the end of the balcony railing just before the dog jumped and he
quickly lifted his own long, silky and hairless legs across the railing and
stood outside. Seeing Prince Keunchaai rushing in, he quickly jumped downward.
All of
this was done instinctively, a teddy bear like him had never done anything like
this before. The most Taohu ever did was when Phii Nat was not in the bedroom
and he would just clambering onto the desk, on the bed or on the chair and then
having to shoot back to his position on the bed before Phii Nat or the Auntie
entered back into the room.
Taohu
is therefore not aware that now he is not a stuffed bear anymore and, he is in
a body, similar to what Phii Nat is, he weighs no less than Phii Nat when lying
on top of him. So, just lowering his body on the railings and the new weight of
his body quickly pulled him down.
In that simple area, there is also a lady
doing her ordinary things even in the eyes of the common people. Madam Mathana actually isn't very common.
If you
had a chance to meet her ten or twenty years ago, you would have been impressed
by this woman's beauty. I use the word beauty and not pretty, because she is
not a very attractive person. She is a small woman and looks cute and has a
sweet voice, because when she's around, you would feel warm. It's like you
become a child with a caring teacher who cares and protects you.
Ten
years later, even Madam Mathana's shape has changed to the opposite. This
chubby fifty-seven-year-old woman always makes those around her feel sweet and
warm. You'll always think of her in old rose or pastel earth coloured tones,
although she often appears in a long dark chiffon with short, boyish cuts and
silver hairs all over her head. Madam Mathana has round brown-rimmed glasses and
often paints the edges of her lips a bit pink. This glossy look is
indispensable for her and has a thin metal bracelet, her hand and her fingers
had a ring with opal beads almost as large as quail eggs.
Madam Mathana has been sleeping less and
less lately because she matches her sleeping times with her son who always
comes home late but wakes up early at 4 or 5 in the morning. After she turned
around in a blanket and when annoyed with that she got up and walked out of the
room and chatted with her husband while helping to vacuum the dog hair,
brushing it off. Madam Mathana has a
determination to cook delicious food before she dies but still hasn't had a day
when her son compliments her cooking. One reason is because he often wakes up
late, barely has a few minutes before he has to leave for work and could only
put one to two spoons of his food into his mouth to keep himself from getting
hungry and faint or having an upset stomach.
After his son rushes out of the house, our
normal lady turns to feed her favourite dog who always escapes from the cage
and lies on the sofa causing the hairs to scatter all over the house. Madam Mathana has tried counting her hands
and found that the dog still slept more hours than her each day.
She and her husband will have breakfast
later and each other will love to let the moment relax in the literal world.
Her husband favours foreign classics while Madam Mathana listens in Lucknow's Garden of Letters Songs and
flaunts her dreams in Jutharat's illusion world Recordings or wanders her
imagination with the rhythm of Kaew Kao. She could read a book once in a while
and looked at each letter until the sound of the washing machine called her out
to dry the clothes, then by that time the sun would start to heat up outside.
Today is like every day, after hanging both
her and son's clothes on the clothesline next to the house. Madam Mathana picked up a decorative
wide-brimmed straw hat, a pink plastic flower matched with her lipstick and
picked a plastic watering can from the tap beside the fence. The fence of this
house is made of cemented walls. Except for some parts when they use wrought
iron to allow winds passing into the compounds to cool the area and around the
house. The house has a small space left But Madam Mathana used this little
space to grow her flowers and vegetables. The blossoms and fruits were so
beautiful that everyone in the village pointed to this area from the walkways.
Her son often complained saying, “Mother, you can use a hose to water the
flowers, why would you pour water on that heavy thing and lift it yourself?”
Madam Mathana would give him a smile like that of a kind history teacher and
reply with a tone and tone as if teaching a child.
“By watering the lotus by hand, the drop of
water falling would be gentler and then I would walk out to greet each tree and
each flower and thank them for blooming and making me happy, my son.”
Her Thai pronunciation is clear and
consistent in every word.
Today, while using scissors to trim the
leaves from the pink needle plant. Madam
Mathana has been humming her favourite singer since she was a teacher and a
woman in her twenties. Suddenly, the first strange thing on an ordinary day
happened.
I will be the sky and protect you
Always happy, day and night
My heart wants to say that I love you as
much as the sky
Something fell in front of her and on a
clump of needles, slap!
“Ooi!” What was it that cried out loudly?
It was actually a young man, much younger
than her son and without a single piece of clothing on his body and she saw the
skin that was clean and white like soybean juice
Rather than Madam Mathana being shocked.
She looked up above from the balcony eaves and the bright blue sky. Today,
there are almost no fluffy clouds.
When bowing down to the mysterious young
man again. Madam Mathana slowly opened
her eyes and opened her mouth to form a wide smile.
“Yes, Husband thinks like me.” She nodded
at her husband's words, without turning to look into her eyes, exclaiming,
“Little Prince!”
Only when the young man moved and breathed
“Aatchu!” Madam Mathana, suddenly
feeling a little worried rushed over and asked him, “Little Prince, are you
hurt child?”
In spite of the pain, Little Prince lifted
up his clear eyes to stare at her strangely and in a sign of shock. He seemed
to be familiar with her already. Madam
Mathana didn't pay attention, because there was suddenly the sound of her pet
dog barking loudly until she had to lift up and shout.
“Keunchaai Oei! This is the Little Prince
that Husband always told us about, don't be alarmed, son.” The dog on the
balcony moaned in bewilderment and she continued to talk to Little Prince,
“Don't be afraid, my son. Keunchaai is surprised to see people falling from the
sky.”
Before the stranger could say
anything. Madam Mathana lifted him up
from the slightly shattered needle bush, “Are you in so much pain that you
can't speak?”
He's taller than her son and even though he
looks skinny he's full of muscle. So, he weighed more than she could easily
help, “The tree must have cut our flesh, playing without wearing anything like
this.”
The other party still didn't say anything
and just nodded as if he wasn't sure about many things and tried to put weight
on his own legs. Even though he saw that and probably had some pain in his body
He seemed to be considerate and afraid that she would not be able to bear his
weight.
“You got it? Can you do it?” Madam Mathana
waited until he became more comfortable and then let go.
The Little Prince looked at her terrified
and said, “Ah...thank you, Auntie.”
“No problem.” Surprisingly, her answer
seemed to shock him. Madam Mathana
laughed, thinking Little Prince might still be puzzled by the humans and
suggested, “Let's go inside the house first, me and uncle will help clean the
wounds.”
The other party still looked in fear. Madam
Mathana was almost confused but then there was a cracking sound! There was a
loud noise from inside the glass door and Prince Keunchaai must have just ran
from her son's bedroom down to the lower floor and was currently trying to use
his front legs to scramble to keep the sliding door open and barking to prevent
her from messing with strangers.
“Don't worry, Keunchaai.” She raised her
index finger and only when the Fat Prince Dog hadn't stopped saying, “Wait a
minute if you continue with that barking, I won't make steamed mackerel for you
today.” Only then the dog's neck and eyes
bulged and it looked down again. Madam
Mathana shook her head and smiled at her husband with a hint of mutual
understanding, it seemed only the Prince Dog gluttonously loved the taste of
her cooking to such an extent. [1] I haven’t watched the series yet so is
the dog her husband? Did he die and reincarnate as a dog? Hey there is a talking Notebook, anything is
possible.
“Keunchaai really likes this dish.” She explained
to the Little Prince as she led him to the front door. Fortunately, no one was
walking in the street at this time. Madam Mathana's house is like most housing
estates in the city. If it's on a working day, the youngsters go to the office,
the children go to school and the only old people who don't dare to fight the
sun sit and lie in the house. When it's Saturday like this, most of them go out
to shopping malls or take their children to special education, so the area
around the village is very lonely.
“I use steamed mackerel mixed with boiled
vegetables with diced carrots, potato corn and broccoli. This dog must want to
be careful with his food, otherwise he would get fat and get sick like that
person (probably her dead husband).
Little Prince, you probably don't quite understand.”
The homeowner woman laughed gleefully as
she slid the glass door open. I can tell you that the soft scent of the house
that immediately pervaded would remind you of her sweet scent. Madam Mathana
stepped in first, when Little Prince saw the Prince Dog, the withered,
black-faced dog sitting with his eyes downcast, he seemed terrified and unsure
of whether to step in or not, so she backed lightly and asked, “Little
Prince’s… What is your name, son?”
“Ta...Taohu…” He replied as he stepped
forward but still did not pay attention to the Prince Dog when to attack,
“Taohu? ... the name is familiar.”
“Is…”
“Husband.” She turned to her husband(?),
“You didn't tell us you had Little Prince as a friend.”
“Auntie huh.”
“So cute like your mom.” Then she turned to
him and told him, “Taohu, sit down on that sofa for a moment, I'll go get some
clothes and tools to clean the wound and you don't have to be afraid of
Keunchaai it. This dog is good but greedy and rarely barks and bites anyone.”
As if
he felt humiliated, the stout Prince Dog stomping behind him hummed. Prince
Taohu flinched, “Oh…that's it!”
“He's playful.”
Before finishing his words, there was a
voice, “Me!” and the Prince Dog stared at the guest until he bumped into a
square stool and woven basket that Madam Mathana had just taken away and laid
aside and fell over the dog. The dog began to scramble trying to leave the
temporary en-capture.
The old woman laughed and disengaged,
letting the guest lower her body on the sofa and her gaze still grabbed the
basket that smashed into things that way, this way.
Waiting behind Madam Mathana, the one guest
of the house quickly rose to the point where the dog in the basket wouldn't be
able to reach him and once he felt safe and relieved from the burning wound.
His mind returned to the strange thing that had happened to himself.
He's a tofu teddy bear and suddenly turns
into a human and is called the Auntie's Little Prince! He didn't know what to
do and the only way to figure it out was to ask Phii Nat for help. Phii Nat
must be able to help him.
He wanted to find himself the answer his
heart continued to worry about… which meant he had to use the phone. Even if
Taohu was only in the bedroom and didn't know much about it. But he was
familiar with this phone stuff. Usually when Phii Nat comes home, he will be
lying in bed playing with his phone and sometimes chatting with his friends. If
there was another phone, he would definitely use it to call Phii Nat for help.
Just now when the Auntie asked him and he replied he knew that the Auntie could
still hear him and the others should have heard him too.
Trying to look around, he found that there
was a phone lying next to the big television but the area was so empty that he
was afraid that Prince Keunchaai would run at him.
Taohu decided this is more important than
being scared. He stretched his neck and noticed what Prince Keunchaai was
doing. It appeared that a rattan weaved into a basket had slipped about the
corner of the cupboard and the dog was busy pulling himself out of it. Taohu
saw this as a great opportunity. So, he quickly reached for the phone and his
eyes still switched to the Prince Dog.
As soon as the phone fell into his hands,
the Fat Dog managed to push out from below the basket and ran out. Taohu
panicked but fortunately his legs are now as long as Phii Nat and in just two
long jumps he can climb up and hide on the sofa, let the basket and Prince
Keunchaai hit the big TV cabinet, until he falls again. Now Taohu pulled his
eyes back to the phone. He had seen Phii Nat press here and there but he didn't
know the right way, just then the Auntie's flat phone flashed and a woman's
voice called out, “Hi-Daddy Teddy Bear.”
Taohu looked with shocked expression, “Do
you know me?”
“Madam Mathana's Phone-Know-Everythaang”
That sentence was supposed to show pride
but her voice was so flat, it almost felt like there was no feeling at all and
the words were irregularly rhythmic.
“Oh-ho” Suddenly another voice interjected,
“You have a built-in application, hehe. But that doesn't mean you know too,
Darling.”
“Miss-Sofa!”
exclaimed Taohu, feeling guilty for stepping on the owner of that voice. He
said, “Sorry” and sat down.
“It's, ok Handsome!” Miss-Sofa squealed brightly like a teen girl, “If you're wondering
how I know. I know things by watching television with Grandma Screen.”
“Don't-Call-Madam-Mathana-Phone-Grandma-Screen,”
argued Khun-Telephone in a monotone
voice which was flat compared to having to compete with Miss-Sofa's frantic voice at who was knew more, “Madam Mathana is
just...”
“...Just what? Her Husband is dead and she
still talks to her in the air like Love-is-in-the-Air?”
“Um…” Khun-Telephone
cleared his throat, “I'm-Single-What-Is-Madam-Mathana?”
“Da, wait.” Before the story gets any
further, Taohu quickly cuts the conversation, “I just want Khun-Telephone to call...”
20 / 488
“...Madam Mathana's phone,” he emphasised
in a low voice. As usual, as a result, Miss-Sofa
interjected, saying,
“Jesus!”
But Taohu didn't care and he only replied
to Khun-Telephone saying, “Ahh,
Madam Mathana’s Khun-Telephone, I
just want you to help contact Phii Nat. Suddenly my body, his teddy bear,
turned like this.” He waved his hand from his shoulder to his bare bottom.
His fingertips flickered as if pointing
below which caused Miss-Sofa to
insert another word with the same words but in a low voice like opening her
eyes, “Jesus”.
“A teddy bear has turned into a human!?”
“Yes!” Taohu accepted the word and just
realised it and he flicked his head towards the source of the voice.
“Auntie!” He saw Madam Mathana come back
with clothes and medical equipment. Miss-Sofa
complained, “Grandma Screen has arrived.”
“Heeey!”
Madam Mathana's Khun-Telephone
said in a flat voice as always and the Auntie, who seemed like she couldn't
hear anything, continued to speak to Taohu, “This is it, how cute and ugly is
this doll? Little Prince.”
“Ta...Taohu, huh.”
“Ooh.” Madam Mathana puts a thumb up as if
just remembering, “Actually, it's Taohu and I've been hooked on calling you
Little Prince, isn't it?”
“No…no Auntie, I mean Taohu, I am Taohu the
teddy bear in Phii Nat's room, the white one.”
“That's it! You've grown up so young and
handsome and come on, I'll apply some medicine to your hips and then you can
put on some clothes.” Apparently, Madam Mathana was pretending like a child.
As Madam Mathana's um, the back of her hand
slipped away, the tincture of the cotton swab moved closer to Taohu's hip.
Suddenly there was a voice, “Waai!” of a girl screaming and Taohu was startled.
It appears that this time the owner of the voice is the left slipper that Madam
Mathana was wearing.
“What's wrong?” asked Taohu and the old
woman who was cleaning his bruises was confused, “I must ask, why are you
startled, son?” Low down there, a young voice answered the girl who sang just
now, “Little Girl, what? Are you afraid of it? Hmm?” Looking down, Taohu found
that the questioner was Madam Mathana's right slipper.
Miss-Left
Slipper’s girlfriend replied, “Phii,
well the Auntie is so heavy, she stepped on the tiny little flat me and
suffocated me. This is how my hands are set up like that, Little Bear's legs
will bump into each other right now.”
“Jesus overreacted much?!” Miss-Sofa , like everyone, heard Khun-Right Slipper say this. Taohu
smiled and told the Auntie, “I'm fine, Auntie please take it easy. I'm afraid
it will hurt.”
“If you want to hit her!” Khun-Right Slipper tapped on the right
side, making a screeching sound in his throat. (I mean, if he has a neck),
“That owner is just a muse, she is carried, hugged, glorified and never had to
be under someone’s foot like us, stepped on and still forget to never even wash
us. This time, she will know what authoritarianism is!”
The cotton wool was going to pop into the
wound which is a red streak on the smooth, white flesh. But then the owner of
the wound spoke again, “Auntie.” The cotton ball had to stop once more. Madam
Mathana raises an eyebrow, “Will you please call Phii Nat? I have to tell Phii
Nat first, otherwise Phii Nat might be shocked.”
“It's okay, kid.” Madam Mathana seemed to understand one more
thing, “Nat will understand. You're such a cute kid and if I tell you to stay
here you are worried that Nat will fight it, right?”
Madam Mathana's hand was lighter than Khun-Right Slipper said to Taohu and
she helped him finish cleaning his wound before noon. Then put Prince Keunchaai
into a cage and let him wear the Phii Nat outfit she picked up for him. A shirt
and shorts that he remembers Phii Nat used to wear out of the house on
weekends. The shirt would be a bit too small to fit him and those seemed too
long until he could see his thighs but our little The Bear was delighted, very
much.
“He is handsome? Right husband?” Madam
Mathana turned to talk to the air, while standing next to Taohu in front of the
mirror. It was then that Taohu saw himself clearly for the first time, meaning
the first time he had transformed into a human.
The man in the mirror in front of him is
not cuddly at all, he is tall and skinny and most of his flesh is packed with
hard muscles. Every part was dense, it was just something soft covering the
smooth, pinkish-white skin. It is a skin that is so delicate that at some point
you can see a blue line underneath it and then along the arms and back of the
hand, there are big stripes like bulging roots and which make it look harder
and not cuddly.
The hairstyle he saw didn't seem as messy
as Phii Nat… but a long, fine line of dark brown hair wrapped around his
forehead with thick dark eyebrows, pitch black, contrasting with his pale skin
and face. He is not round but oval. It's good that the cheeks are rather soft
and rosy, the eyes are no longer button balls and rather big round dark brown
eyes of real people. In the form of relatively slender eyes, long eyelashes and
eyelids folded into small pieces.
Of course, his nose was smaller too and
looked sharper than before. At the end was no longer a black circle and lips
were not just drawn threads, a smile but a faint pink wavy like Phii Nat's
lips.
Yes. Taohu is not satisfied because the
Auntie said so and he knows that “handsome” means a good-looking man. Taohu
therefore thought that he might be good because he himself had seen that Phii
Nat typed a cell phone and replied to his friend that he liked handsome people.
After lunch Madam Mathana made herself and
encouraged him to eat. Taohu was still circling around that cell phone. But because
Madam Mathana's Khun-Telephone
adhered to the owner's words, however he asked she still refused to help Taohu
and most of the belongings tend to obey their owner like this. Finally, our
Taohu spent the rest of the day obsessed and wondered if Phii Nat could find a
way to help him so as not to waste a lot of page space. You know that time in
stories is always slower or faster than usual and Taohu are already waiting.
It's around ten o'clock, almost four
o'clock
Usually Madam Mathana would be watching TV
on the sofa waiting for her son and she would sleep late and wake up early. But
today she fell asleep quickly, probably because she exercised more than usual
until she was tired.
Like any other house, when the owner
sleeps, the things in the house begin to stretch out of slumber and few humans
know about it (as far as I remember, a man in the know-how brought it).
Therefore, when humans turn the other way or look into the darkness and see
something moving even though there is no living thing. They were therefore
convinced that the world was full of ghosts, even though there weren't many
ghosts, just mischievous things which couldn't stay still.
Miss-Sofa
complained, “Grandma Screen is lying on top of me like this. I have to keep
going strong alone, Not-Fair.”
“Justice is just a discourse.” Khun-Right Slipper retorted while
trying to crawl, squat to tiptoe and climb on the glass reception table,
“Little Prince, help me.”
Because the Khun-Right Slipper is relatively shorter than the reception table. As he
climbed to the edge of the table, his body dangled terrifyingly, “Little
Prince.”
Seeing that Miss-Left Slipper was still in his sleep, Taohu quickly reached out
to help him. Khun-Right Slipper was
shocked to the point that he froze for a moment. After being placed on the
table, he looked at the owner of the hand in disbelief. Finally, he feigned
disinterest by flickering from his hand and shouted, “Ah…” holding on and
crawled further, pressing the numbers on the remote control.
“A stupid middle-class human being, only
watching stupid programs.” The person said and the screen was changed from a
hilarious singing competition to a serious current news discussion.
“Madam Mathana is just sleeping.” Khun-Telephone spoke a bit in his
monotone voice, “I don't know where Nong Nat is? Usually, he never returns late
like this.”
“Hello, just because the child uses you to
call him that doesn't mean that you belong to him, someone else can use you.”
“What would a person like you know? The
child is the cornea of the
heart. If the child does not exist and we die.”
“If we had children it would have been
nice.” Miss-Left Slipper was awake
and her lover turned to look at him with pitying eyes, “We can't have children,
even if we can we don't have the wisdom to raise them. Society today is not
suitable to raise children.”
“So annoying!” Finally, Miss-Sofa even cursed in Thai, “A baby
is not a battery. Even if it came out of her too, how would a pair of slippers
rub each other and one end up pregnant?!”
Khun-Telephone pretended not to hear Miss-Sofa's voice and he opened the
messaging app himself and started typing: Where
are you Nat?
Before
the message was sent there, the sound of a car rang in front of the fence and
followed by a bell at the door.
