Chapter 8:
Early the next morning, two young people got down in front of each other in the car. Phonuma also hurriedly woke up to deliver her daughter early in the morning. After yesterday, a young woman told her in her room that today she will be in Bangkok early and will be on a flight to Chiang Mai. Continue to Lamphun to find the fourth temple holy water but besides Phonuma, someone had woken up to send someone to travel as well.
“Where are you going?”
Inthra walked down the stairs with a silk robe over another layer of pajamas
and shouted greetings throughout the house.
Phonuma, Thapakorn and Sawin looked at each
other awkwardly at Inthra’s greetings.
“Go to Bangkok.” The
tall young man turned around to answer simply, because he knew that if he asked
Sawin to answer, it would have turned into a never-ending word of mouth.
“Going to Bangkok? Why
did you go there?” Inthra walked in and asked out of curiosity.
“Aunt Inn, can you not
need to get involved?” Sawin couldn’t stand it, he sobbed out.
“Ouch! Strange question?
How can I not bother? Since you’re going to Bangkok with just two guys, during
this time Nephew Win wakes up asking about you. How do I tell my nephew?”
“How difficult will it
be! Let mom tell him! And besides, Phii Win won’t ask you! Because he knows
it’s useless to ask!” Sawin argued hurriedly, his stern look not worthy of a
neat woman. Thapakorn hurriedly held down his arms because he was afraid that
if he let the person get emotional easily with Inthra’s words, he might reveal
his suspicion to the people around him.
“Let’s go so it’s not
too late.” He said so and turned around to salute Phonuma and Inthra. Sawin
also gives up, salutes his mother alone and walks to the car.
The tall figure’s car moved out of the front
of the house but Inthra was still standing next to her sister-in-law.
“No respect at all! Hey,
I’m her aunt! In the past, I never saw her be like this. When the crash comes
back like a different person, no! It must be called resurrecting as Nephew Win
possesses!” Inthra’s words stunned the audience.
... Yes... Lalin woke up this time like
Sawin, there was nothing wrong with her way of speaking, her facial expressions
and her gestures…
...But such a thing is impossible. How can
Lalin become Sawin? Since Sawin is still lying in the hospital…
“Otherwise, it means this
is the real one. Phii Phonn, this Phii Phonn’s daughter, has been keeping her
bad habits for a long time. When Nephew Win was admitted to the hospital, her
bad habits completely burst out. In any case, I would like to return the words
that I used to say that Phii Phonn raises children well, because this kind of
thing can’t be called good.” Inthra finished speaking and turned around and
walked back to the house, leaving Phonuma still standing in the same place.”
...She didn’t want to be swayed by her
husband’s sister’s impulse but everything Lalin was showing right now wasn’t
the same daughter she had ever known.
... Lalin has changed so much, Lalin has
changed so much like Sawin... If this is the result of an accident Someone
should be able to explain to her why sometimes. She could see Sawin’s face
superimposed on Lalin’s face…
……
“That’s because Lin and
Win are siblings Aunt Phon, the two of them look alike so it’s not weird
anymore now Aunt Phon is worried about Win. As for Lin... The way she acted a
bit strange was because at the time of the accident her brain had suffered some
concussion but it will heal soon.”
The person explaining to Phonuma was
Chanonn, she brought the story of Lalin acting strange and similar to Sawin to
the young doctor who is her son’s best friend. Of course, Chanonn sat and lay
down to say that there was nothing in her worries. Everything is the result of
an accident.
“But Lin is very similar
to Win, Nonn. I never thought Lin would be this much like Win and especially
when arguing with Inthra, like Win like what?” Phonuma reiterated worriedly.
“Win is probably going to
blow something to Lin, Aunt Phon and one more thing. Now Lin has to take care
of the ranch instead of Win. Even if Tha came to help but Lin had to act in
place of Win, it would have to copy some gestures. Otherwise, how could a small
woman manage hundreds of workers? Really?” Chanonn’s
words were very convincing and he was a doctor, having been involved with
science all his life. That’s enough to make Phonuma feel more comfortable.
“Must be true, Nonn…”
“What I said is
definitely true. These things can be explained by science Aunt Phon,
supernatural stuff like in the novels Ohhhh... it’s not possible!” Saying that,
Chanonn was sweating in my way, because he knew very well that his friend and
my friend’s younger brother is experiencing it now. No science can explain it,
everything is purely supernatural.
“And this is Win... er...
you mean Lin has gone out with Tha already?” asked Chanonn as he led his
friend’s mother to Sawin’s recovery room.
“Yah, see that this time
they will go north to Lamphun and Lampang.”
“The 4th Temple already,
unbelievable.” Chanonn muttered in the latter sentence. What he said is
unbelievable. Sawin, who has hated Thapakorn for many years, will be able to
shake hands to find the holy water. 2 people have already gone through 3
temples and the next temple is the 4th temple.
“Unbelievable?”
“I can’t believe that...
Uh... that would be fast. Tha knows how to organize trips, going one zone at a
time is not very tiring and fast.” The
young doctor solved the problem, Phonuma nodded in agreement but was skeptical.
“But strangely, I don’t
know, how did the Reverend Father know? He came to visit Lin at the hospital
and told him to go find 7 holy waters to exercise bad karma. The Reverend
Father used to support the exorcism of bad karma, where is that?” Phonuma is somewhat familiar, because her
husband respects the abbot for being a pious monk but never brought the power
of miracles to overshadow his prestige but this time suggested seeking holy
water to exercise bad karma.
“When abbot came to visit
Lin? At that time, Nonn, were you in the room too?” Phonuma didn’t directly
hear from the old monk’s mouth that she was going to look for 7 temples of holy
water to exercise bad karma but did hear it again from her daughter’s mouth.
“Uh... Y... yes...”
“The abbot really
recommended exercising bad karma?”
“Uh… well… he said it was
good.” Chanonn sweated all over his back, not knowing what the worst was lying
to an elder and taking the word of God back like this.
“If it’s good, then it’s
good... It would be great if Win revives.” said Phonuma in a low voice. Look
through the glass into the sanatorium of the still cordial son with pity and
nostalgia.
“Win will recover Aunt
Phon. He won’t leave Aunt Phone anywhere. Aunt Phon must stay strong.”
“Yes, thank you Nonn.”
Phonuma gave the young man a faint smile the next time he looked back at him in
the recovery room again. Sawin remained motionless but she hoped that one day
he would return to his former life, one day... he would smile at her again…
……
A little before nine o’clock, Thapakorn’s
car was completely parked in the parking lot behind his office building. The
young man turned off the engine, unbuckled his seat belt and turned to look at
the man beside him who was staring out of the car window.
“Come down! Go upstairs
and wait.” Persuaded by the owner of the place, Sawin got out of the car and
followed him into the building. Even though this place is huge, the people in
this building are familiar with each other’s faces. So, when a strange woman
follows behind Thapakorn, the people in the building look behind him without
losing sight.
“What are you looking at?” And of course,
being looked at that much, yes or Sawin wouldn’t feel it. As soon as he entered
the elevator, he immediately grumbled with a quick mouth.
“Looking at Lin, not
looking at you.” Thapakorn replied and smiled, causing the person in Lalin’s
body to turn to look at her once.
The elevator door opens, Thapakorn leads
through the front lobby zone. At almost 9 o’clock, the people in the office
were already sitting at their tables. A young man leads a young woman to his
desk.
“Sit here and wait, do
you want something to eat?” Thapakorn turned to ask, the girl’s sweet face
swayed. The tall figure walked away leaving Sawin at the desk, the big eyes
staring. This place is quite spacious, each desk has a partition that separates
the private area so it doesn’t feel uncomfortable but even so, it’s enough to
know that Thapakorn’s colleagues seem to have a special interest in him.
... Tha probably has never brought anyone,
so they are looking at me!
Sawin glanced back at Thapakorn’s desk
instead, although it was filled with many documents but it was kept organized.
There were no pictures of women, family pictures, or even the owner of the
table. It’s a simple man’s desk. There isn’t even a picture of Lalin, the woman
he thought of getting married.
... Or maybe it’s hidden in a drawer? ...
The white hand began to mischievously pry
the desk drawer, luckily it wasn’t locked. Opening it up, Sawin started digging
through some of the documents in the drawer in case he could find any ‘good
stuff’.
“Looking for something?”
The loud, interrupted sound made people secretly searching other drawers
startled, looking up, the owner of the voice was no one anywhere. Thapakorn is
the person who owns this table.
“Uh… well… well…”
“This is a desk for
work, there are no valuables so you don’t have to think about stealing.” said the tall figure putting a cup of hot
cocoa in front of Sawin before reaching out to pick up the papers placed on the
table and walk towards the supervisor. The big eyes followed him before
lowering his gaze to the cup of hot cocoa. He glanced over at the drawer of the
desk, which was opened in which there were only documents. There were no other
valuables for him to search for. Finally decided to push the drawer to close
and that made him see the key inserted in the drawer. He had an old bell
keychain hanging. If it was just an old keychain, he probably wouldn’t remember
and would think it was an antique that Thapakorn had been using for a long
time.
...but... it’s not just a bell keychain... The plastic sign hanging on
the bell is the name of the university where Thapakorn studied for a bachelor’s
degree and of course... That’s the university that he himself studied at as
well…
The old memories come
back, the memories he thought he had forgotten, the memories he didn’t think
he’d left in spite of the past 7 years at Thapakorn were the resentment rooted
in his mind.
‘Anyway. You and I are
trying to pass the exam in the same university, there should be something to
remember.’ He
used to say to Thapakorn like this, when he attended the first day of
university reception. Back then, no matter what, it was always fun and happy in
the eyes of ‘Sawin.’ Even about getting into the same university as a young
friend, it was a good story to find souvenirs.
‘What would Nonn think?
He isn’t studying here,’ Thapakorn asked but Sawin waved his hand.
‘If you don’t think about
it, buy one for him. Let’s get 3 of the same for all three of us.’ And then. He
dragged Thapakorn’s arm to look for souvenirs, remembering that he had been
choosing for a long time between a notebook and a keychain. In the end, he
chose a keychain because it’s a ridiculous thing.
The big round eyes fixed
on the old keychain he was holding, not sure if it was the same keychain he
bought for Thapakorn and Chanonn but whether it was or not. He reminded him of
old stories, bringing him back to his days when he was just a normal teenager,
without much thought, with simple happiness, easy laughter and vision. But the
good things around him and the more he thought about it, the more he felt like
his heart was shrinking until he was almost blown away by the wind. He knew
that those moments had disappeared since then but he did not know why all the
time they disappeared. Was it because he had never thought of it or because of
anger? His grudge against Thapakorn obscured everything, even memories…
“Win…” A deep voice
sounded nearby. This caused the person who had fallen into a trance to startle
and when he woke up, he realized that the owner of the table was standing in
front of him and his eyes were fixed on him.
“Uh… are you done?” The
white hand holding the keyring immediately released it and it was in the eyes
of Thapakorn who had seen him as he walked and stopped here that Sawin was
holding his key ring.”
“Oh, I’ll take you to pay
homage to my boss first and then go get something to eat.” He pretended to talk
about something else, because he didn’t want the other person to have a chance
to get that old keychain back.
When one party doesn’t
talk about the keychain, Sawin doesn’t ask either. He followed a tall figure to
the supervisor’s desk, a chubby young man.
“Phii Pat? This is my
friend’s sister, he also got a car from Chonburi.” Thapakorn suggested. The
young woman salutes his boss and it seems like ‘Phii Pat’ is incredibly good at
connecting the story.
“Oh? Come to visit
Bangkok. Well, Bangkok has a lot of places to visit, eh? ...And what about your
relatives at your Chonburi who got hit by a car, where Tha has to go help him?
How is his condition now?”
“Uh... well... still
stable.” Thapakorn only accepted the word, unaware that he had asked for leave
from work because his relative in Chonburi had a car accident. The other party
will bring the question now.
“Let’s just let him get
better first. Tha’s leave is still left. help that way first as for this way,
there is nothing much.
“Yes, thank you Phii, if
so. I’ll excuse myself first.” The young
man was afraid of what the other person would say. So, he hurried to find a way
to bypass, he raised his hand in salutation. Sawin raised his hands in
salutation before walking out to the elevator and just then, the girl following
him asked a question.
“Did you tell him that
you and I are relatives?”
“So, if I would say that
my friend got hit by a car and asked to take leave from work to go back and
help work in his friend’s ranch? Other people will ask, do friends have no
relatives? Why do I have to go to help?” Thapakorn’s reasoning sounded quite
plausible to claim that Sawin was a relative and had to go back and help take
care of his relative’s ranch in an accident.
“And when visiting Lin at
the hospital. For what reason did you take leave from work?” Sawin asked back and that made the people
stunned, because the people at the office No one knew that he would marry
Lalin. Everyone thought he was single and when Sawin and Lalin got into an
accident, as soon as Phonuma called, he quickly called his supervisor to leave
work. By saying that there is an urgent business, we have to go back to
Chonburi. At that time Pat must have been shocked to see that he had a sudden
farewell phone call, so he didn’t ask any more questions. He didn’t say
anything either, because he was just shocked and worried... Sawin... with
Lalin.
“Well... if it was a
general time off, normally Phii Pat wouldn’t ask.” Thapakorn replied, just as the elevator door opened. Sawin walked into
the elevator silently but his mind was filled with questions and as soon as
they got back to the car, a lingering question rang out from his bright lips.
“I have another
question... Why just now when you introduced ‘Lin’. You didn’t say she was your
girlfriend, why did you say she is just a friend’s sister?” The big hand that
was turning the steering wheel to take the car out of the envelope froze.
“You really didn’t think
of marrying Lin, neither you nor Lin really love each other. You never brought
Lin here, never introduced Lin to anyone as the woman you will marry. You and
Lin have never even been friends. I do not understand... Why are you getting
married?” Sawin’s question was not as emotional as it used to be but it was
filled with ignorance and doubt.
Thapakorn glanced at him
and sighed softly.
“Lin wanted me to help
you with your work.”
“Even though Lin knows I
hate you?”
“Yes, and Lin knew that
even if you hate me, I will never hate you.” The young man retorted and that
silenced those who had been asking questions from the beginning.
“Lin knows... That no
matter how annoying you are. I can still tolerate you. Lin said I was the best
choice to marry him to help you in the ranch. After increased production, the
work at the ranch has increased, right? Your sister knows you have to work harder,
so she wants me to help. I once asked her why she wanted to let me into that
ranch as her husband… wanna know what Lin told me? Lin said... In order for my
status to appear fair on par with you. At least you love Lin very much, you
should be considerate of Lin’s husband.” Sawin made a skewed face and murmured.
“The more I come as a
brother-in-law, it’s even more shocking.” Thapakorn smiled faintly. He began to
turn the steering wheel to steer his car down the road again, opening up to
talk to Sawin, unspeakably relieved. The other party should be able to
understand why Lalin wanted to marry him.
“What are you going to
beat me with? I was willing to take myself to help in the ranch.” The tall
figure chimed in but that made the person who was listening pause for a moment.
... That’s it... So, what reason did
Thapakorn have to marry his sister? Even though there is no need to do that…
The silence of the person beside him, caused
Thapakorn to glance at him with suspicion.
“What’s wrong, Win?”
“And you... Why are you
marrying Lin even though... Do you have a job? Half of that ranch is already
yours. You can work there, you don't need to marry Lin. You haven’t been in
trouble anymore, most importantly... Why would you agree to marry my sister?
Even though you know I hate you.” The
person being asked was silent, why wouldn’t he know? Why did you agree to
follow the wishes of Lalin? There was no reason why he had to get more tired by
helping with the Warodom ranch and why he had to marry Lalin knowing he didn’t
love her and she didn’t love him.
... All of that for one reason... is Sawin.
“Because you are my
friend!” Thapakorn tried to find the answer he thought was the best and since
that answer, there was silence in the car.
Neither the person said nor the person who
was listening, no one else made a sound. One side thought that his answer would
be to solve all his concerns but instead made his heart feel like it was
weighed down by the word ‘friend’, while the other felt dizzy. with the word
‘friend’ coming out of the person’s mouth next to him.
... ‘Friend’, in spite of being the best
status for the two of them but why... it was causing both persons’ hearts to
pierce deeper than ever...
…
The two-young people boarded a plane and
landed at Chiang Mai Airport, taking only one hour from Bangkok. They set foot
on the large airport of the North. Of course, it is now 3pm, a ghost-fearer
like Sawin would never allow Thapakorn to take him to the temple in the
afternoon, find the temple in the evening and ask for holy water in the
evening.
“Have you reserved a
hotel yet? Should we put our bags and go get something to eat first? Let’s go
look for the temple tomorrow.” Sawin suggested mixed with his orders, because
the big round eyes stared at the young man intensely, as if to allow the other
party to obey his words.
Thapakorn met a pair of
beautiful eyes that stared at him earnestly and then laughed knowingly a
little.
“Are you afraid?” he
asked and of course Sawin rolled his eyes.
“I think we shouldn’t go
out in the dark at night.”
“But this is not yet
evening, Win.”
“It will be evening
soon.” The tall figure did not argue
further. He shook his head and walked to rent a car, causing Sawin to rush
after him to firmly insist that he would not go to the temple right now.
“Tha, don’t walk away
from me, promise me that you won’t go to the temple right now!” Thapakorn
stopped walking abruptly, causing the person following him to bump into his
arm.
“Ouch! Shit!” Of course,
even though the bumped body was Lalin’s body, the person in Lalin’s body was
Sawin, who was not polite in nature. Thapakorn looked at the person holding his
nose and shook his head again.
“How are you? Walking
without looking at the way but talking there
“Then why did you stop
walking! I’m in pain!” The person in front of me grimaced, causing the tall
figure to laugh lightly. He pulled out the small hand that held his nose but
the other person held it close.
“Remove your hand. I’ll
see if it’s bleeding or not.”
“Blood?!” Sawin cried
with big eyes.
“I’m just going to see if
it is bleeding, remove your hand and I’ll take a look.” The white hand admitted that it was easy to be pulled out but well, the
sharp eyes stared at the prominent reddish nose on the arch and he couldn’t
find any bleeding. So, he took that opportunity and swept across his sweet
face.
... Strange... even though this face
belonged to Lalin, he saw it as Sawin...
“Is it bleeding? Tha?” The person’s question in front of him
awakened Thapakorn’s consciousness from his reverie. He moved his face slightly
away before answering.
“No... Let’s go get the
car so that we can go to the hotel.” he
said before taking the lead. Sawin was about to follow his footsteps but something
caused him to glance around.
... It felt like he was being watched...
The big round eyes swept through the area
but there was no one he knew.
“What?” A deep voice
rang beside him, Thapakorn walked back to find that the other party was not
following him.
“Feels like someone is
watching us.” This time, the tall figure swept his gaze as well but found
nothing unusual.
“It’s nothing, it’s
nothing, you must be thinking too much.” said
Sawin, shrugging his shoulders. He was about to lead the way but Thapakorn
grabbed his arm, he swept his eyes around him again, because he thought that
just now that Sawin thought that he was being looked at might be because of the
appearance of a beautiful woman who made him the target of someone’s eyes.
“Walk together.” he said in a serious tone and moved his hand down to hold the small
white hand. The large palms held tightly together as if announcing to whoever
stared at them they knew that this thin young woman had him as a travel
companion.
Sawin could understand Thapakorn’s male gaze
who swept his surroundings. So, they were led by a tall figure walking hand in
hand, they didn’t even realize that there was a man peeking at them from afar.
The man fixed his gaze until he was certain
that the woman who was still holding her hand was her own niece, quickly dialed
the phone.
“Hello Phii Inn... I
have a story to tell.” He said, a smile
twitching at the corners of his mouth before walking to follow the man and
woman from the airport in the distance, still Inthra’s line was on the phone.
…
Inthra listened to her brother Anucha’s
words and her whole body danced. She insisted firmly to him that he had to
secretly follow up to make sure, Lalin had gone to Chiang Mai and kept sending
news from time to time. She’ll have to put this for fun and say that when Sawin
was not knowing whether to live or die, the good sister had to do a two-on-two
trip to the provinces with men!
…It’s definitely fun and if Sawin wakes up
and finds out about it, it’s going to be a lot of fun!
“You keep calling me,
little one. I’ll keep it to curse Lin when it comes back! And the more pictures
I have, the better!” she repeated into the phone before looking disgusted as
her gambler younger brother demanded his reward. It should be earned if it
fulfills her desires.
“Oh yeah! I’ll tip you
hard! You got it done!” Anucha hung up when she said she’d tip hard, Inthra
snorted into the phone before complaining.
“We will be rich till
death. You’ll still come and ask me for a tip!” Inthra smiled brightly. If the story of Lalin going to the provinces
with just two people with a man is true and Sawin has a chance to wake up to
this, I can assure you that the destructive nephew Sawin will have a second
heart attack for sure.
... Or even if he didn’t die, they would
still fight and the more they split up. She was even more than happy... Or it’s
even better to give like Sawin hates Thapakorn!
…
From Chiang Mai was a short drive to
Lamphun. Lamphun is a small, calm city, not much crowded, very different from
the capital city like Bangkok or even the night district like Pattaya but even
a small town. Thapakorn looked up to find a hotel that someone feared by ghosts
like Sawin agreed to allow him to check in.
“Tonight, sleep with the
lights on!” But to accept, he must have a condition. In addition to asking for
a double bed room because he doesn’t dare to separate the bed, he also makes a
hard bargain and asks to turn on the light to sleep. The tall, indifferent
figure, carrying her own small suitcase and the woman walked into a small room.
As soon as he entered, Sawin hurried to the window, pulled the curtain all the
way out and looked left and right to inspect the good feng shui that must not
see hospitals, temples, crematoriums, three things that must be the most
distant from his sight!
“That’s enough, let’s go
get something to eat, it’ll be colder. The restaurants will be closed.”
Thapakorn saw the bad posture, hurriedly pulled the curtain closed and pulled
his roommate’s arm away from the window, because the arrogant man had carefully
examined what was outside the window. He was afraid that he would see a
fraction of what he didn’t like and turn into a rant about changing rooms,
changing hotels and even worse. Lamphun has only this. How can you find dozens
and hundreds of hotels to please someone who is as difficult as it is?
The big round eyes gave
up the view outside the window and swept around the room before staring at the
large dark brown wooden wardrobe beside the wall beside the bed.
“I don’t like that
wardrobe at all, why not make it built-in?! Pushing it up like that is
terrifying to death!
“Win…” Thapakorn rebuked
him and the owner of the name gave a nervous glance.
“Well, I don’t like
this!”
“Sleep well for one night” The tone of voice
is comforting, the person who is comforted enough to soften a bit but still
does not give a look of annoyance on his face.
“Tonight, we can sleep
with the lights on.” Thapakorn allowed
him to give him a little more, the big round eyes glanced up. He still doesn’t
want to stay here but the options are few, Lamphun is a small town that doesn’t
have many stars rated hotels. Many prices to choose from like Pattaya, he knows
this but he still doesn’t feel good about it.
“Come on, let’s go get
something to eat and we’ll talk about what we’re going to do tonight.” The tall
figure invited him out of the room. Like they find something to fill your
stomach, maybe it’s easier for Sawin.
The image of a young man and a woman walking
out of the hotel building to the car parked in front of Anucha, who had been
secretly following from the beginning. He secretly took a picture of himself
with the guy, along with the luxury hotel sign in the background, before
sending it to his sister to see.
…
Phonuma came back after watching her
unconscious son at the hospital for a while but she didn’t go straight back to
the house because she had to stop by to help take care of work at the office
first. Fortunately, there is an office manager like Manat who is trustworthy
and works well, so that’s comforting.
“Thank you very much
Manat. If she was not here things would at least be manageable, Win is
hospitalized like this.”
“I did what I could, it
was to compliment Khun Lin. I still can’t believe that Khun Lin knows that kind
of work, does everything on behalf of Khun Win, if I could sign a check it
would have done it.”
“Is that so?” Phonuma
unexpectedly asked. She thought that Lalin came here with Thapakorn, the person
who did all the work would be a tall young man.
“Yes, Khun Tha got it.
Khun Lin taught him the job.”
“Is that Lin? She
teaches Tha?” The widow asked again.
“That’s right, Khun Win
must have taught Khun Lin before. Khun Lin knows everything. Khun Lin knows
about the dike that has just been repaired.” This time the person who was sounded even more confused, because Sawin
came up to take care of this business. Her son had never let the ranch work
fall into the hands of her sister even once. Sawin argues that ranch work is
hard work, not suitable for a woman like Lalin and then... Why does Lalin know
about the ranch work?
“Strange…” Phonuma
sighed to herself, Manat looked suspiciously.
“What is strange about
it? Khun Phon.”
“Uh... nothing.”
“But it’s weird to say
that, since Khun Lin came back from the hospital, she’s like Khun Win as if
she’d taken off. But before, I never felt that Khun Lin would look like Khun
Win this much.”
“Manat, do you feel that
too?” It means it’s not just Phonuma or
Inthra who felt that Lalin was like Sawin since the accident.
“Yes, even the way of
speaking is the same, the speech is the same and the more you quarrel with Khun
Tha this is the same as in the old days when Khun Tha and Khun Win had a
fight.” Manat didn’t mention that he had heard Lalin say rude words. Even
though he had never thought that a neat woman like a folded cloth like Lalin
would speak like that.
“And even more strange is
Khun Tha…”
“Why Tha?” Phonuma asked
curiously. Manat glanced at his mistress for a moment, not knowing whether to
say it or not but he didn’t think it was a secret.
“I think... Khun Tha’s
expression when speaking to Khun Lin. It’s not like in the past Khun Tha used
to be with Khun Lin, that is... I may not have seen Khun Tha for a long time
but... but I remember that Khun Tha never... Uh... never acted like that to
Khun Lin.”
“Act as?”
“Uh... I don’t know Khun
Phon but... but it’s not correct, Khun Tha’s expression when talking to Khun
Lin is more like when Khun Tha speaks to Khun Win.” Manat recounted feeling and that made Phonuma. Still, she didn’t notice
this but as soon as someone said it, she seemed to start to feel it too.
... Yes... Thapakorn’s expression on Lalin,
unlike before... Over the past 7 years, even though Sawin hated Thapakorn to
the point that he didn’t want to step on here, he secretly met with Thapakorn
along with Lalin. The manner in which the young man treated her daughter was so
gentle and gentle, unlike today... These days, he treats Lalin naturally, not
very gentlemanly…
... and it’s like... Just like the old days
where Thapakorn treated Sawin... Naturally, like a normal man...
“Khun Phon... Khun
Phon...” Manat called her name to awaken
her consciousness from her reverie, Phonuma turned to look and her smile faded.
“Uh... In any case, I
entrust Manat to take care of Lin as well. Anything... come and tell me
anytime.”
“okay.”
“Then... if you see Tha
and Lin... Uh... I mean... I mean Manat if you see something strange please
tell me, please be an eye and ear for me.”
“Yes. Khun Phon.” Although he didn’t understand much what the
widow meant, Manat accepted it willingly. Phonuma turned around and walked out
of the office and got in the car and drove back home with a heavy heart.
... She doesn’t know what she’s wondering
right now... She doesn’t know what she’s worried about right now...but for
sure... It is related to Sawin, Lalin and Thapakorn…
…
As the sister-in-law was having some
thoughts, Inthra stood smiling in front of her house and as soon as Phonuma’s
car turned and parked at a nearby garage. The late husband’s sister swooped in
with big news that Inthra thought was a national thing.
“Keep watching the son,
daughter flew away to travel with a man to Lamphun already.” Phonuma glanced at
him in shock. I didn’t expect this to come out of Inthra’s mouth.
“What did you say? Inn
“Oh! Said that Phii
Phonn’s daughter fled after the man to go to Chiang Mai, oops! no no no Lin
landed in Chiang Mai but stayed at a hotel in Lamphun separately.”
“How did you know Lin
stayed at the hotel in Lamphun?”
“Oh, I have my spy, this
spy is good-looking too. Because he saw Lin and Tha’s eyes getting off the
plane, carrying bags to the hotel the two of them.” Inthra’s words, heard that
she was thinking of putting an egg for Lalin to be looked at in a destructive
way. In addition to hanging out with a guy 2 on 2, it’s also going during the
time when only one brother is lying unconscious in the hospital.
Phonuma is trying to calm
herself down. She knows how her husband’s sister is doing, slandering others,
even her own relatives are Inthra’s specialty.
“If you don’t know
anything, don’t talk too much.” She said
that and took her steps to walk away but Inthra’s voice came behind her first.
“Who exactly doesn’t
know anything? What did Lin tell you? For you allow your daughter to hang out
with other men like this. She would say that she would like to pay homage to
exercise bad karma and make merit for Nephew Win to recover quickly. Huh, Phii
Phonn didn’t know this at all, young people these days when they go on
vacation. They don’t sleep in separate rooms and even Phii Phonn’s daughter,
they sleep in the same room. Double bed too. Do I have to tell you what type of
double bed is this? It’s just one big bed but a man and woman sleep together!
If it goes like this, by the time Nephew Win recovers, I don’t doubt Phii Phonn
will get a grandchild to carry first.”
Phonuma looked at her husband’s sister angrily
because she had never spoken insults in her whole life. In the end, I could
only keep my dissatisfaction with my chest and turn around and walk back into
the house, leaving Inthra to follow her as she wanted.
... In this event, besides the siblings mistrust
each other, she will make the mother and daughter mistrust each other as well.
If you don’t believe me, wait and see!
