Mai Ding was taken away by An-Ziyan but they didn't go home, they went to a park 20 minutes away from the park. Before Mai Ding had time to ask, he saw Cao Chengyi sitting on a park bench with his legs crossed and whistling. The park was very crowded. An-Ziyan turned the car around but didn't turn off the engine: “Wait in the car.”

“You're not so stupid that you didn't realize someone was following you, are you?” said An-Ziyan.” An-Ziyan said quietly and Cao Chengyi wore a helpless expression: “I just found out, I was about to call you off but you were already here. Since you noticed, why didn't you just leave me and drive away? I can handle these two small fishes. I'm really impressed by your thoughtfulness.”

“What you have is more important than you, so goodbye.”

An-Ziyan stood up and walked to the car. The people hiding behind trees in the park ran out to chase after An-Ziyan but Cao Chengyi blocked their way and Cao Chengyi moved his muscles and bones, “Where do you want to go, let's get past me first.” Who knew that more and more people were passing by, more than a dozen, Cao Chengyi rolled his eyes and said to himself, “I'm in big trouble, I've made a mistake.”

A black sedan was parked on the side of the road, the window was rolled down and Shu Shenglin greeted An-Ziyan with a smile: “Manager An, you're not the only one who knows how to play games. And Chengyi, when I finish this, you'll never work in the Marketing Department again, if you dare to take advantage of me. I'm done talking to you guys, we need to catch up with your little sidekick but where would he go?” Shu Shenglin drove off.

“Is everything okay with Mai Ding?” Cao Chengyi asked.

“Don't talk nonsense, hurry up and finish them off.”

“But I see you're worried.” Cao Chengyi still has time to tease but An-Ziyan punches the man in front of him in the temple: “You want to end up like him?” Cao Chengyi shut up.

Mai Ding's hands were sweating as he gripped the steering wheel, his adrenaline pumping, his eyes staring ahead, not daring to be distracted. He wasn't standing behind An-Ziyan, he wasn't standing next to An-Ziyan, he was helping An-Ziyan achieve something important and even though he didn't know what it was, he liked the fact that An-Ziyan trusted him and if An-Ziyan had just told Mai Ding to drive home to protect him, he probably would have been shocked by the deepest part of his heart. Inferiority was engulfing him and though he tried to hide it, it was as if it was something he'd been born with.

He's helping An-Ziyan, so what if he's just running errands, he's helping An-Ziyan.

He hadn't driven for a long time, so he wasn't going very fast but as soon as he got to the office, a car pulled up next to him and it was Shu Shenglin.

“Listen, give us the flash drive and we'll pretend that nothing happened.”

“Unfortunately, I've just been told by someone that I’ve been growing disobedient.”

“Then where the hell are you gonna go, run to the office, close the door and cry?” Shu Shenglin scoffed, Mai Ding ignored him and pushed the gas pedal to the floor, leaving Shu Shenglin a few meters away, then stopped the car and ran to the office, the security guard downstairs looked at him strangely. Mai Ding pushed every elevator button but the elevator wouldn't come down and as he watched, Shu got closer and closer to him, he ran towards the stairs, running, his mouth dry, his lungs burning.

“Stop right there, you can't get away.” His knee hit the hard ground and he crumpled to his knees, looking up at the numbers on the floor, almost there. Mai Ding clenched his teeth and crawled up the stairs, waiting for a compliment from An-Ziyan, to whom he had to proudly ramble on about how he could stop here.

He ran to the 13th floor, where Ji Meng was still working in his office, just as An-Ziyan had predicted and Mai Ding ran over to Ji Meng's desk. An-Ziyan... Let me give you... I'll give it to you.”

Just a short sentence Mai Ding also used up the last of his strength, Ji Meng quite coldly took the flash drive, his voice very monotonous: “I've made it clear to him not to put the blame on me and I don't think you're giving me anything that's easy to take over,” she said this and she crossed her arms in front of the computer, Mai Ding froze, he stood up with his hands on his head, thinking that he could just give it to Ji Meng but never imagined what would happen if Ji Meng didn't want to help.
