Chapter 3:
There were no words from the person who had
been silent since leaving the temple. Thapakorn glanced at the person sitting
on the seat with a pale face in fear that the other party would have a heart
attack first. Sawin is a person who is afraid of ghosts in the head, when he
sees the atmosphere of the temple, mixed with the rain that doesn’t open his
eyes, where the old monk who talks like he knows the whole story again. It’s no
wonder someone can be so timid that they can turn pale.
“Are you okay?” he asked
without a trace of worry, because someone fizzled along the way when he saw the
first temple power, he had his eyes widened.
“Wow…” The reply sounded
faint as if to say that he could not but the stubborn matter had to be given to
Sawin anyway. He took a deep breath to suppress the fear in his heart and
questioned with all his sanity.
“So… and here, where are
we going next…” Because the list of all temples is at Thapakorn and he just
left the hospital today. The travel planner is therefore impossible if it is
not the person who has to drive the car.
“Go to Bangkok, park the
car at the airport and go to Udon Thani”
“Is the next temple in
Udon Thani?”
“No, we get off the plane
and rent a car to Sakon Nakhon. I called my friend there and asked. This temple
is not difficult to reach.”
“If it’s hard to go,
it’s not a problem. Please don’t be like this temple.” Sawin still remembered that old monk’s last words to him well, even
calling his name correctly. Just imagine how the other party knew his name even
though he had never been to this temple before. Sawin had goosebumps again.
Thapakorn sat quietly. I didn’t dare to say that the remaining 6 temples, more
than half of them, all started with the word ‘Wat Pa’. [1] Wat means Temple
...And the monks of Wat Pa who strictly practice
intense Buddhism, are all known for their miraculous powers. In this event, he
has seen people lose their minds for a long time...
…
Because of the rain, traffic jams and the
distance from Chonburi to Don Mueang Airport is not near from the departure of
the first temple in the afternoon, before it arrived it was already very cold.
Fortunately, Thapakorn decided to reserve the last flight of the day from the
beginning.
Arrived in Udon Thani from Bangkok almost
overnight and of course, before the tall figure headed straight to the car
rental service point. The person’s small hand next to him grabbed it.
“Wait a minute…” Big
round eyes glanced out of the glass door, seeing the dark sky outside the
airport was even more unsettling. If you have to go to the temple at night like
this... He didn’t know how frightening he would be.
“Uh... We... Shall we go
to the temple?” The person’s face asked with a look of embarrassment and fear.
until the people who saw it couldn’t help but feel sorry for them
“Go to the hotel first,
sleep for one night and leave early tomorrow.” The planner said that like that would be enough to be relieved. Sawin
then let Thapakorn take care of the rental car. no later than half an hour
later. They leave Udon Thani airport and head to the city center to find a
hotel for the night.
Udon Thani is a large province in the
Northeast, with leading department stores, excellent hospitals and bustling
urban areas. Although not as good as Bangkok but not inferior to other big
cities, good hotels to stay are not difficult to find. In the end, both Sawin
and Thapakorn were at the front of a clean four-star hotel.
“The one who made a
reservation yesterday, named Thapakorn.” Sawin glanced at the person in charge
of negotiating with the front because he didn’t think the other party would
prepare to have people book a hotel for him.
“Thapakorn... Reserve two
rooms.” A young hotel employee repeated the information displayed on her
computer screen. The tall figure nodded. He was about to take out his wallet
but the person in Lalin’s small hand reached out and grabbed his arm.
“Why 2 rooms?” The tall
figure turned to look at the questioning person. Sawin glanced at the employees
who were looking at them.
“Excuse me for a moment.”
What the employee saw was a fragile young woman pulling the tall man’s arm to
walk in the other direction and began to negotiate with a serious face whose
voice was too soft for her to hear. The two of them were talking about
something but the woman was definitely not going to sleep alone.
“Take one room.” Sawin
immediately ordered two people to hide in the corner and talk.
“How can we sleep in the
same room? Well, now... You are now in Lin’s body.”
“But I do not want to
sleep alone!” What would be the reason?
It’s because I’m afraid of ghosts!
“This is a new hotel,
Win.” Thapakorn knew that Sawin was afraid of ghosts but the hotel didn’t look
old and scary at all and moreover, his friend who was in the neighborhood
confirmed that this It’s a new hotel, just completed in less than a year.
“But this is an old
place! Before the construction of this hotel, it might have been a temple or a
hospital before!!” the person who was listening, really repulsed by Sawin’s
brilliant imagination.
“But...”
“No, but me and you have
to sleep in the same room!” Apart from the decisive decree, his face is also
serious. Thapakorn sighed softly, no matter how much the world has moved
forward, he is still a conservative man who sees it as inappropriate for men
and women to stay in the same room even if the person in the woman’s body is a
man. Indeed, like Sawin, whatever.
“If anyone sees it,
Lin’s reputation will be damaged.” he referred to Lalin. It’s true that he and
Lalin decided to get engaged but it was an engagement that didn’t come from a
romantic relationship. Other than close people, no one else really knows that
he and Lalin are not lovers. Everyone only knows that they have known each
other since childhood, if today someone saw that he and Lalin were staying in
the same hotel room. It would be a very bad picture.
“Hey, Tha! This is Udon!
No one here knows Lin! And if I don’t talk you shut up, who will know?! Go deal
with it! Take one room!” Sawin persisted firmly. The young man sighed
reluctantly because otherwise he would have to stand there arguing like this
all night, so he went back to the front to amend the booking.
“If I change to one room,
will I get it?”
“If it is a room for 2
people, we will only have a single room with a king size bed.”
“Yes! Then ok.” Now
everything must be settled, because not sleeping in the same room, Sawin will
bite his head first.
…
Almost all night, the middle-aged woman was
still sitting on the porch in front of the house, a small house on a hill in
the middle of the Warodom ranch. Originally there were 4 people. But when Amon
passed away, the house left only her and her son and daughter and now the son
is lying unconscious in the hospital. As for the daughter... went out to search
for holy water to return to the ceremony as recommended by the Reverend Father,
who was revered by the family.
The house that used to be bustling because
of the son’s pleasurable chatter and the daughter’s quarreling fell silent in
the blink of an eye. Phonuma looked up at the starry sky, she didn’t know if it
was heaven or not and she didn’t know if her good husband, after death, would
be reborn as an old man but who knows. ... Now the departed husband is her only
hope.
“Please help your child,
please help Win. If this is my karma, then I ask you to bear it down on me,
don’t bear it down on my child.” She said
in anguish and closed her eyes to see the still unconscious son. She became
even more unbearable, a mother’s breasts, even allowed to lie down instead and
bring her child back to life.
Tears were about to flow as if wanting to
pray but Phonuma’s cell phone rang first. She reached over and took a look,
when she saw that the caller was her daughter’s number. The middle-aged woman
wiped her tears and took a deep breath to adjust her mood before answering the
call.
“Lin... How are you,
child?” she greeted in a tone that tried to make it as normal as possible but
was not worried that the other end of the line was caught.
‘Mom… are you sick, why do you sound weird?’
“I am okay, here I sit on
the veranda. I wonder if you’re in Udon Thani already, child.” Before her child
got on the plane, she called Phonuma and said that she was going to go to the
temple in Sakon Nakhon province.
‘Oh, here we come to
sleep at the hotel first, then go to the temple tomorrow. Mom, don't worry, I
will return as soon as possible.’
“Yes, I will wait for
you.”
‘So... Win... how is he? ...’
“The doctor said that the
condition was stable. Lin, don’t worry about your brother, he’s good, he’s
definitely going to come back.” The end of the line was silent for a moment
before turning into a low voice.
‘Everything will go back to how it was
before… I promise...’ The promise was so strong that
Phonuma couldn’t hold back the tears. She just swallowed it, wanting to say
more things but it was stuck in her throat until she couldn’t speak. Finally,
because she was afraid that she would cry for her child to hear, the
middle-aged woman changed the subject.
“And how is Tha doing?”
‘…well... he’s fine...’ The
respondent seemed disconcerted and didn’t look like the same Lalin who used to
admire Thapakorn for her every morning and evening. Phonuma was a little
surprised but thought that the other party might be tired from traveling
because it was already late.
“Then it’s good, baby. Go
to sleep, Lin. It’s very late here. Do you have to go to the temple early in
the morning?”
‘Mom, don’t stay up late.’ The
mother and son bid their goodbyes for a bit before they both hung up. Phonuma
looked at the phone in her hand with nostalgic love before attaching it to her
chest, as if wanting to use it to represent her daughter from afar.
... when... When will her
child return? Both of them…
…
Sawin looked worriedly at
the phone in his hand, his mother was crying... Why wouldn’t he know... Even
though my mother is a strong woman but with her children, she is always
sensitive... Just as he heard his mother tremble, Sawin wanted to fly home but
knowing that what he had to do was more important than returning to comfort his
birth mother, he still needed to be here.
“How is Aunt Phon
doing?” A deep voice came from behind, the person standing on the balcony
turned to see that Thapakorn had finished taking a shower.
“Well... fine.” Sawin replied simply, in his heart he was still worried and worried
about both mother and sister. Anxiety was so evident on his face that Thapakorn
walked up to him. He put his hand on his shoulder and gently squeezed it, as if
giving encouragement. Sawin looked back. He didn’t know what it was but this
strange feeling was born when Thapakorn held his hand in the temple, the
Thapakorn he knew, the Thapakorn he depended on, the Thapakorn who was always
by his side.
... It’s a bond and a memory between them,
they’ve known each other since birth and been together since childhood. Where
there is him, there must be Chanonn and Thapakorn until... Hate came…
Sawin turns away when he realizes that
things between him and Thapakorn have not been the same since Thapakorn
acquired half of Warodom’s ranch. Whatever the reason, he saw that he used his
trust and intimacy to make his family ranch his own.
“I’m going to take a
shower!” The owner’s small shoulder was yanked from his large hand before the
woman’s figure immediately turned to go to the bathroom, the tall figure looked
after him and sighed softly. Suddenly, he was like getting an old friend Sawin
back but in the end... Sawin still hates him.
…
But ‘people hate each other’ in this world,
no one would allow the other to share a bed. Even if it’s a king size bed, when
Sawin adds, subtract, multiply and divide in mind, sleeping alone on a wide bed
may cause him to meet ‘Something’ to lie next to. He didn’t know if this bed
had been killed before, or the land here might have been someone’s burial
ground, or this floor might have had a murder. In the good way between the
things he hates and the things he fears, he would rather live with the things
he hates than face the things he fears!
“You, come lay in bed with me.”
A slender finger pointed
down on the bed while Thapakorn was putting his pillow on the sofa, which will
be used as a bed for the night.
“What?” He turned around
and asked curiously, the girl with a sweet and gentle face gave a sullen
expression like ‘Sawin’ and gave a hard response.
“I told you to come in
bed with me!”
“Are you crazy! You are
now in Lin’s form…” and Lalin is a woman.
Even before, he and she had intended to marry and live together but he never thought
of taking a chance with her and the person in Lalin’s body was Sawin too and it
became even more impossible.
“But I will never sleep
in this bed alone!”
“Why can’t you sleep?”
“Did anyone die in this
bed? Well, I don’t know. How am I supposed to go to sleep alone on a bed where
someone supposedly died!” Thapakorn
sighed wearily, Sawin is a human being who puts himself at the center, no
matter what body he is in.
“Get up and lie down
here!” He repeats arrogantly and stubbornly, difficult for people to be
ordered, and has to put the pillow back on the bed as usual.
“Take a pillow in the
cupboard and separate it in the middle.” The tall young man gave some orders,
this time the girl’s big round eyes suddenly glared and roared back.
“Are you afraid that I
will molest you?!”
“I’m afraid you’re going
to make a fuss, get up in the morning and find more trouble for me. So, go get
a pillow and put it in the middle Ai’Win.”
Calling the suffix by name Ai’ means that if Sawin doesn’t follow along,
Thapakorn won’t sleep on the bed. The person who was afraid of ghosts got their
heads up, so they slammed their feet tightly, opened the wardrobe, took a
pillow and placed it between the two of them.
And that night’s saliva war ended when both
sides lay down with their backs to each other on opposite sides of the bed.
... or maybe not...
“Don’t turn off the
lights, I don’t like sleeping in the dark.” Sawin stumbled upon it as if
destined as the tall figure was about to reach out to turn off the light from
the bedside switch. The big hand suddenly stopped.
“If we turn on the light
like this in the whole room. I can’t sleep.” Thapakorn replied in a tone that
sounded like he was completely restrained.
“But I don’t like
sleeping with the lights off!”
“But if not, turn off the
light. How do I sleep?
“It’s not hard to see!
You take anything and cover your eyes!”
“Win, do you want a
separate bedroom?” With all the fighting,
because Sawin never sleeps alone. He couldn’t do anything but grunt and flick
the blanket over his head. Thapakorn glanced at the spoiled person and then
sighed heavily before reaching out to turn off all the lights from the bedside
switch again and the whole room turned dark in the blink of an eye…
The young man heard frustrations coming from
the people under the blankets but he didn’t care, when the whole room was dark
and quickly fell asleep, leaving the frightened man to sleep under the blankets
for the rest of the night.
…
The next morning Thapakorn and Sawin
checked out from the hotel to drive to the adjacent province of Sakon Nakhon,
the morning air was quite bright today. The sun shines brightly everywhere, so
it’s enough to make people afraid of ghosts enough to be relieved that the
second temple might not be able to go down the same way as the first temple
that led him to get goosebumps but not yet. You will see a sign pointing the
way to Sakon Nakhon Province. Thapakorn then turned and parked on the side of
the road in front of the restaurant.
“Why did you stop?”
“Let’s go downstairs to
get something to eat and then continue.” said the car parker, before turning
off the engine and stepping out of the car, Sawin followed into the restaurant
converted from two commercial buildings. Inside the shop, with tables lined up
and with many customers, Thapakorn managed to find one empty table. So, he went
straight and sat down.
“I want Kai Krata (Eggs
in a pan)” he ordered to the waiter and turned to look at his companion who had
sat down across the street. Sawin still has a surprised look so he doesn’t know
what to order. He looks at the side table and sees fried egg with minced pork
and sausage in fried egg. He thinks that it should be ‘Egg Pan’ as I said. So,
he turns to nod to Thapakorn to order. for him too.
“Two Kai Krata (Eggs in
a pan) and I will take that kind of bread too.” The bread is oval-shaped like
French bread but cut in the middle and put with minced pork, Chinese sausage
and Vietnamese sausage. Some of them looked at the familiar ordering and only
wondered, waited until the waiter left to ask questions.
“Have you ever eaten
this?”
“Yep.”
“When? Why haven’t I
seen you ever?” Sawin started to quarrel because he and Thapakorn grew up
together. Is there something that Thapakorn does? What did he eat? And he would
never do it, eat too.
“In the 4th
year, I went to visit a friend’s house around here, so my friend took us to
eat.” Oh... That’s when he was in his 4th
year, at that time he started to hate Thapakorn...
The two of them didn’t say anything further,
they waited for a moment, the food they ordered was delivered to the table.
They didn’t hesitate to quickly take out the food in front of them but less
than half of them were eaten, the cutlery in the woman’s hand put down.
Thapakorn looked up at the person who turned around and took a glass of water
to drink in surprise.
“Are you full?”
“Uh... what? I just ate
a little, how could I be full?” The person muttered in the last sentence
irritably. Kai Krata (Eggs in a pan) “This is delicious too, he still ate a
little bit.
“Probably because Lin
eats less…” The other party’s words made the listeners remember. Now that he’s
in Lalin’s body, he can’t eat as much as he used to when he was Sawin.
“Probably true…” The
person in Lalin’s body accepted regretfully. His eyes fell down to look at the
remaining half of the pan egg and he felt pity for the sister who had a female
body to eat less, eating a little bit and he was full. He who has always been a
man is even luckier, he eats what he wants and eats what he wants.
“Isn’t it delicious?”
Thapakorn could see the disappointment clearly reflected on that sweet face.
So, he asked with pity.
“Yeah.”
“Why is it so difficult?
You can buy a flat pan like that and cook it yourself at home.”
“In whichever dimension
can I cook?”
“It’s just cracking an
egg…”
“Cracking eggs is hard!”
Thapakorn looked at the argument and smiled faintly fondly, for many years they
had changed from friends to distant acquaintances. Sawin still cooks
differently.
“Then I will cook for you
someday.” The person who was listening
was stumped because he hadn’t heard this sentence in a long time. In the past,
when he visited Thapakorn’s house nearby, he was hungry. The owner of the house
always said this phrase for him to hear, or even Thapakorn stopped by his house
and his parents were away. The guest of honor had to take over the kitchen
anyway, because the landlord like him couldn’t cook but... when the hatred took
over after his father’s death. This sentence had completely disappeared from
his memory until today…
The round eyes stared at the young man
sitting across from him who continued to continue his meal, old memories
lingered in his conscience. Once in a lifetime memory He used to have Thapakorn
by his side all the time.
…
The second temple is a forest temple in
Sakon Nakhon province. Sawin, who is afraid of ghosts, seems braver than
yesterday when she went to the first temple, because today the sky is clear and
sunny. However, he said that a ghost would never appear in broad daylight like
this but then that thought changed when Thapakorn turned his car into the
temple’s territory.
“... uh... this temple?”
The driver’s pair turned to ask with a voice that stuck in the direction of
fear. His eyes swept out of the windshield and saw that no matter how bright
the sun was outside; the temple was gloomy with the shade of tall trees that
were so tall that they almost blocked the bright light of the sun.
“Probably yes, let’s go
down.” Thapakorn took out the paper with the name of the temple and looked at
it again. He put it back in his pocket as usual when he saw that the name of
the temple he had acquired was the same as the name of the temple at the
entrance just now. He opened the door and got out of the Ploy car for another
person to get out of the car as well.
Just stepping down and standing, a cold
sigh rushes in and touches the skin. Sawin wrapped his shoulders in the cold
and immediately walked to stand next to the tall and tall young man, Thapakorn
looked down at the man standing beside him, laughing and adoring that Sawin was
a tall and slender young man. Or is it Sawin who comes in the body of a younger
sister but is still Sawin who is afraid of ghosts in the same person all day
long?
“It’s so sunny outside,
why is it so cold inside?” A murmur from the fearful man rang into Thapakorn’s
ears, making him want to laugh. But he was afraid that the timid person would
jump on his neck to take revenge on his laughter, so he had to be indifferent
even to be indifferent. Thapakorn is still a victim of Sawin’s attack.
“How are you going to
stand like this?! Hurry up and get the holy water! We will be able to leave
soon! I won’t be here all day!” Even with the face of a young woman like Lalin,
it is strange to see the young man clearly sees Sawin’s anger and frustration.
The tall figure didn’t say anything, he
swept his gaze around the temple grounds. In addition to the tall and large
trees that spread branches throughout the area, there were also single-tiered
wooden cloisters planted in a row. Other than the sound of the wind, the
chirping of birds, there was no other sound. Aside from the stray dogs and
cats, there was an old man standing not far away sweeping the leaf litter. So,
he went straight to find him.
“Sorry. I came here to
see the abbot, I don’t know where he is.”
The old man turned around and gave a gentle
smile but said nothing but pointed to a nearby cubicle. The sign language alone
made Thapakorn a little calm but still raised his hand to pay homage.
“Thank you.” he said and
led Sawin to the cloister pointed by the old man, the timid man was surprised
by the old man’s direction. Something inspired him to turn around and look at
the old man’s place just now sweeping the leaf fragments but… Everything was
empty, no old man, no broom, no leaf fragments…
“Tha... Tha...” Sawin
twitched the arm of the leading man. His whole body trembled, Thapakorn looked
back.
“N... No... there is no...
The uncle just wasn’t here…” He didn’t
say anything but just nodded his head towards the old way where they had just
seen the old man sweeping the leaf fragments now, the area was devoid of any
living things.
Thapakorn was not a timid person but he
could not hold his breath, the young man put his arms around the small and thin
woman’s shoulders to come in close as if unconsciously protecting.
“Uncle... How did that
monk disappear? …” A trembling figure in his arms asked in a low voice, the
tall figure had no answer. Aside from embracing an increasingly trembling
figure, his sharp eyes swept around him feeling strange, he was not afraid of
the supernatural but what he was afraid of was human beings.
“Don’t mind, let’s go
get the holy water.” He bent down to speak to the man in his arms and led the
stubborn woman out to the wooden cubicle but Sawin still didn’t hesitate to
look behind him. periodically. Thapakorn saw both the fear and curiosity of the
person in his arms, so he had to scream.
“Win, don’t look.” The
big round eyes turned to him panicking, his face turning pale and pitiful.
“Don’t look and if you
see something, keep quiet. Do you understand?” He didn’t have to ask again,
Sawin simply nodded grimly. Thapakorn then turned his attention to a
single-storey wooden cubicle that was only raised half a meter from the ground.
“Excuse me!” he shouted
into the cubicle in a low voice and in a moment the old man stood up. Sawin’s
eyes widened.
“That... that... That’s
the monk who raked the leaves! Wha... do... why are you here and not there?!” The girl pointed at the old man who had
emerged from the cubicle and asked in a trembling voice. Thapakorn was shocked
too, he went from clenching his arms to transfer a young woman’s body to pulling
a thin body behind him instead.
The old man continued to smile as usual
before replying in a gentle tone.
“Uncle saw that the two
of you were standing there and didn’t know what was going on, so let’s tell the
abbot first.” The people who were listening glanced at each other with a
puzzled look on their faces but a moment later. The old monk of the cloister
walked out the door, seeing the yellow cloth. Thapakorn and Sawin then raised
their hands to pay homage. From the fear of not knowing whether the old man was
a man or a ghost, when he saw the yellow robes of the Lord Priest, they were
somewhat relieved.
“You two don’t look like
people around here, how did you get here?” The thin old monk asked and stepped
down from the cubicle.
“We are from Chonburi,
come to ask for the abbot's holy water.” The person who answered is Thapakorn.
As for Sawin now standing behind him, both hands tightly clenched his shirt,
poked his eye out of the hillside to see the slope.
“You have come a long
way.” the abbot spoke before turning to the old man who followed him on the
cloister, “... go get some holy water for these two benefactors.” The person
who was listening took the order and stepped. With his feet back up to the
cloister again, the old monk turned to the guest from afar and smiled faintly
when he saw a young woman hiding behind a tall man.
“So, what is that,
benefactor? Don’t be afraid, there’s nothing to be afraid of here.” Thapakorn
glanced at the person hiding behind him. The little hand he was holding was
heartbreakingly cold.
“Win...are you okay?” He
asked in a low voice so that the two of them could be heard. Sawin swallowed a
huge saliva before giving a short nod.
“My friend, she rarely…
She’s not familiar with this place.” Thapakorn turned to the abbot. The old
monk smiled slightly but his gaze still fixed on the woman hiding behind him.
Sawin could only meet his eyes for a moment and had to press his eyes to the
shoulder of the person who was covering him instead but his ears could still
hear the statue’s words.
“Don’t hold on too much
to things you know, when there is something you don’t know, you will learn
something you hadn’t known before, let go of things you used to know and your
life will be happy.” That’s all, Sawin
suddenly opened his eyes and met the Abbot’s eyes.
“Can’t let go.” He
answered unconsciously, the old monk only sighed softly but still had a slight
smile.
“Benefactor, you take it
with your own hands. It will be the karma of the successor benefactor and
everything that happens after this will be the consequence of today, remember
my words well.” Thapakorn looked at the
man standing behind him but Sawin showed no sign of letting go, his big round
eyes still stubborn and determined.
... Sawin is here to save her sister, even
if the world is collapsing. Sawin is still committed to helping the only sister
he has. No matter what kind of karma I have to pay after this, I agree...
No more words, just as the old man came back
down from the cubicle with a small bottle of holy water. The abbot brought it
to the two visitors. Thapakorn extended his hand to receive it.
“Thank you, Father.”
“Where are you going
next?”
“We are going to Bueng
Kan.”
“Have a safe trip,
benefactors”
“Thank you, then we will
leave first.” Thapakorn saluted his hand.
The girl hiding behind him also raised her hand to pay homage. The old monk
smiled slightly as before but before the two of them turned around and walked
back to the car, the abbot’s voice held back.
“When you decide to tie
your karma to each other like this, just accept the future... the future that
is the consequence of today.” Sawin
turned to look at the monk who issued the warning. His eyes widened as the
Abbot’s words were no different than the warning of the Reverend Father, who
offered him the seven temples of holy water to help his sister.
‘…Just accept the future... the future that
is the consequence of today.’
A strange fear formed in his heart but Sawin
cut the line by turning to speak to the young man first.
“Let’s go, Tha.” he said and grabbed Thapakorn’s arm and led
him to walk back to the car. The abbot of a distant forest temple looked at the
two people’s bodies, his wrinkled eyes narrowed and he looked at the small,
white hand that held the young man’s hand. He couldn’t let go and could only
make a good deed of merit for both of them to go through well.
…
The person beside him had been sitting
still since leaving the temple, Thapakorn only glanced at him with concern.
Even though the figure sitting next to him belonged to Lalin, now he sees Sawin
frowning as if he is immersed in trouble alone.
... Sawin was always like this, he never
told anyone about problems. He keeps thinking about it, collecting it and
fixing it alone even though he’s always ready to help out...
“What is it?” And
finally, it was the young man who asked the question first.
“If we get holy water
from 7 temples, do you think Lin will come back?”
“Why are you asking that
Reverend Father, didn’t you say that yourself? that if you get the holy water
at 7 temples, both Lin and you will be the same”
“But why did the monk
just say like Reverend Father that after this I have to accept the consequences
of my actions?” Sawin wanted to help the
sister but was repeatedly told that after everything had returned to normal. He
had to accept the consequences of his own actions, he didn’t know what the
consequences were, he didn’t know whether the consequences would be good or bad
but... but he was afraid... He was afraid that Lalin might not return…
... Lalin might come back like a crippled
person. Lalin may return inconsistently... If he had to see his little sister
like that, would he accept it if he had to see his little sister suffer? Unlike
Lalin, who was as bright as before…
Thapakorn glances at the person beside him,
this time the strong Sawin is weak, weak because of worry, weak from fear.
“But if you don’t, all
that’s left is Lin’s body and your soul. Can you bear it?” Sawin turned to look at the speaker, the sharp eyes staring at him
seemed to awaken the fearful Sawin back to strength.
... Yes... so that only Lalin’s body
remains. He had to do it, no matter what the outcome of his actions was in the
end, no matter whether the outcome was good or bad, no matter how much Lalin
would return. He has to do whatever it takes to avoid leaving only the body of
the sister…
Without a word, the girl’s face turned out
of the car window, her big round eyes outwardly shining with determination,
back to the old ‘Sawin’ who was ready to do anything to solve the problem.
Thapakorn glanced at the person beside him again, although this time there was
only silence as before but it was the silence that he told himself that Sawin
had returned to his former self. The young man smiled faintly and stepped on
the accelerator to take the car straight to the 3rd province.
... The holy water of the 3rd Temple awaits
them, not far away…
A/N
Khun Win’s personality is really not good,
the protagonist is very spoiled beyond the looks of the protagonist. Even now
we still feel sorry for Tha, what kind of karma he has to help a person with
bad habits like this haha.
But... if there is no bad, there will be no
good, right? Khun Win had to be bad first and Khun Tha had to polish his mind a
bit, then he would be good.
