1 The village of Bang Rachan (Thai: บางระจัน, pronounced bāːŋ rā.t͡ɕān) was in the north of Ayutthaya, the old capital of Siam, the predecessor state of modern Thailand. “Oh?” The Khun Uncle Notebook’s voice floated up from the bag Phii Nat was carrying, Khun Telephone replied, “He will take you to the police station!” That caused Taohu to utter a shock, “What should I do?!”

“What?” Phii Nat asked, still not looking up from the screen.

 

“Pa... Phii Nat, have you called a taxi?”

“Yes.” The other party replied in a hurried voice and drew an appreciative glance at Taohu, “It's close here, in a few minutes it will be here.”

This ramshackle building has high ceilings, square columns lined with mirrors on all four sides, and creamy-black terrazzo floors. Until then, Taohu was still proud of his owner's ingenuity and he remembered... He only thought that he wanted to be half as smart as Phii Nat, in case the decision was somehow right.

The second floor of the building looks even more open than the ground floor and the courtyard is home to a collection of discounted socks, underwear, and so on, stationery supplies, deck chairs, and a variety of clothes racks and other house stuff on the side. The building is divided into rooms for computer repair shops and is less crowded. It was like this building was abandoned and the person who was there felt more like a puppet than someone who was on the ground floor.

There was loud music coming from one direction, his footsteps followed, and found a restaurant on the corner. Plastic tables and chairs were lined up and of course, deserted. People were no different, a few members of the restaurant were staring at the front television screen and no one cared to pick up a microphone to hum music that Taohu remembered.  Madam Mathana also likes to sing.

“You kept me waiting for a long time.” That person came and grabbed his arm as if to prevent him from running away again.

“Bear, how are you?” Khun Uncle Notebook murmured from the bag Phii Nat was carrying, “Oh my god, you've been gone for so long I thought you had escaped. In the end, you are to be captured by Nong Nat again.”

Khun Uncle's long complaint has stumbled. When Phii Nat stopped by the sidewalk and turned to talk to him, “Tell mom I took you to a massage and you'll be fine. So, Mom won't be worried.”
